REVIEW PROCEDURE

Abstracts and papers will be blind reviewed by members of the scientific committee. The process of acceptance consists of three stages: (1) abstract acceptance, (2) review of full papers and (3) paper acceptance.

1 – Blind review of Abstracts
Authors are asked to submit their abstracts using the online form indicating their preferred track at the conference for which they wish to submit the abstract and also the type of paper being offered (Full paper: research, implementation/practice or Poster). Each track is assigned to a group of reviewers. Reviewers have been selected based on their expertise and knowledge concerning each track. The organising team of the conference will appoint reviewers to each abstract based on relevance for the theme of the conference and track. The reviewers evaluate the abstracts and their opinion is leading for acceptance. The organising team will discuss the reviews and make a final decision to fit abstracts in the conference program including distribution of full, research and practical, papers and posters. Authors will be notified about the acceptance or non-acceptance of their abstracts before 15 May 2014. The accepted abstracts will be returned to the authors with comments from the reviewers and the authors are subsequently requested to prepare a full paper, or a poster.

2 – Blind review of full papers
Full papers need to be sent to the conference secretariat (tulay.yilmaz@wur.nl) before 1 September 2014. Each submitted full paper will be blind reviewed. Authors will receive comments before 1 October 2014 and need to submit their revised paper to the conference secretariat before 15 October 2014, formatted according the template provided by the conference organisers and ready for publication in the conference proceedings. Papers received after the deadline of 15 October 24.00 hours CET can not be accepted for publication.

3 – Acceptance of papers for publication in the conference proceedings
The final stage of the review procedure is the acceptance of papers for publication in the conference proceedings and a final decision for an oral presentation at the conference. At least one of the authors of an accepted paper is obliged to attend the conference and present the work.
